Z'Tejas starts you out with their fresh made cornbread and whipped honey butter. It is skillet baked every 30 minutes and served warm at your table.
We tried their cast-iron skillet dumplings with pork and shrimp. I would recommend them. But we also saw a neighboring table with the Table-side Guacamole. We are planning that for our next visit. It looked so delicious and fun to be made table side too.
We ordered the Anchiote Chicken Chopped salad. It is served as above but then dressed by your server at the table with a ranch vinegarette. I loved the table side service with the salad. The flavors of all the ingredients blended to make a perfect filling salad.
A must order for the chocolate lover is the Ancho Fudge Pie. Their famous fudge pie is made with walnuts, pecans and a pinch of ancho chile to bring out the rich chocolate flavor, served warm with whipped cream.
The service at Z'Tejas was exceptional. We were seated promptly and had just the right amount of attention through out the meal. It was a great lunch all around.
This week Z'Tejas is having several specials but they also have Happy Hour Specials every day between 4:00-7:00 pm featuring $5-$6-$7 appetizers. Most large enough for a meal. And many hand mixed drinks too.

At Z’Tejas, cornbread fresh from the oven is delivered to each table the restaurant has quickly become famous for its cornbread.Additionally, April 22 – 26 is National Administrative Professionals Week.
